Dialling NASA, Officer calling!
Year 9 student, Rama Salah had an idea, so we made it happen! Dialling in from the Boardroom at Officer, selected year 9 students participated in a session with Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex, NASA.
Students asked questions about the creation of a spaceship, the amount of fuel required to fly to moon, problems and hurdles of space movement, training for NASA, type of nutrition in space, history of exploration and prominent incidents and discoveries. Students were also enthusiastic to learn about planets, climate change effects and the future goals of NASA.
Perhaps we have some future space explorers amongst our students!
