Heartiest congratulations to our 67 Year 12 Graduates of 2017 at our Springvale Campus.

We are very proud of their successful journey throughout the year, culminating in the Graduation Ceremony which was held on Saturday, November 25th. Being an extremely special day for the graduates, their parents, College leaders and teachers; guests had to be special as well. We were delighted to have Mr Julian Hill, MP as our chief guest. Among a host of eminent leaders were Mr Mohamed Hassan OAM: Founder of Minaret College, Ms Susie Hassan, College Executive, Dr Ahmed Hassan: Chairman, College Board, Mr Mohamed Taksim: College Executive Principal, Ms Nazmine Taksim: Administration Manager, Mr Subhan Ali: Executive Manager Operations, Mr Salifu Baba, Head of Curriculum, Mr Rashid Rashdan, Head of Campus - Officer, Mr Sead Omerovic, Principal, Springvale Campus and Mr Omar Marzouk, Head of Middle School. Among other College leaders were Sr Ayesha Farooq, Sr Amna Khan and Sr Jamillah Giousoh. It was a pleasure to see the Multi-Purpose Hall fully packed with students, teachers and members of the community.

It was an evening full of joy and emotions.  The gathering applauded the video clips that students had put together, be it pictures of their childhood compared with current ones, or the Snow trip to Mt Buller, or the much talked about successful Iftar party organised by students of Year 12 at the start of the year.

The academic segment of the program commenced with a great number of students receiving various prestigious awards: including the Caltex All Rounder award, Excellence in Sports award and awards instituted by Crescent Wealth Management, Australian Defence Forces and Kwong Lee Dow Scholars program. One of the highlights of the evening was the VCE Excellence awards given to the best student in respective subjects.

Special thanks to the Masters of Ceremonies, Abdullah Irshad and Jemima Amirdeen, school captains of 2018, Nisveta Sehavdic, Year 12 Coordinator for her exceptional effort in organising the events of the evening.

As all good things come to an end, the much enjoyable and emotional evening celebrations concluded with a closing Du’a from the Holy Qur’an.
