Tamana Geyasi Receives Premier’s VCE Award
The annual Premier’s VCE Awards were presented on Thursday 27th April. More than a thousand guests attended the prestigious award ceremony, in which the top-performing VCE students from 2016 were recognised for their outstanding academic results.
A total of 320 awards were presented to 287 students by James Merlino MP, Minister for Education and Deputy Premier of Victoria.
Tamana Geyasi, our Year 12 student was recognised for achieving excellent results in “Texts and Traditions” in 2016, where she obtained a perfect score of 50, the only perfect score in Victoria in this study.
In the presence of her mother, Perwen, and brother, Samir, Tamana received the award from the Deputy Premier. School Principal, Sead Omerovic, and Texts and Traditions teacher, Ahmad Naushad, also attended the ceremony and were first to congratulate Tamana and her family on this wonderful academic achievement.
