Officer Campus introduces the STEM Initiative

What is STEM?

STEM is a term that refers to the academic disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It is argued that future generations need to develop strong skills in STEM to sustain and survive on this planet.

Why STEM?

STEM touches every aspect of our lives, from our smart phones to the technologies that enable us to explore the world around us and outer space. It also drives innovation in our fast-changing global economy. The future world needs more and more people with STEM skills.

The STEM Initiative targets all Year 4 students.   By cultivating an interest in STEM skills in Primary School, the chances of STEM success in high school can be greatly improved. Our school has incorporated the latest research and utilized various resources to our dedicated team of teachers in implementing this initiative.
